My love for cooking began when I was about eleven years old, watching my grandmother, my mother, and my aunties prepare meals for our family. They rarely measured a thing—they cooked by sight, by smell, and by heart.

The idea for L & V began while I was preparing meals for churchwide dinners and repasts. People would ask, “Do you have a restaurant?” With every question, a seed was being planted. When COVID placed the restaurant dream on the back burner, God placed a new direction on my heart: get a food truck. On my 60th birthday I received a lead—and four months later, the truck was ours.

So what is “A Little Taste of Heaven”? It's a peaceful, joyful experience where your taste buds break out in a hallelujah chorus—an explosion of flavor, comfort, and love in every bite.
